May is Preservation Month!

Preservation Month is a time for communities across the country to engage in their heritage. The Office of Historic Preservation clebrates Preservation Month by hosting a number of fun and educational events that showcase the unique and historic character of San Antonio. All City events are open to the public but advance registration may be required. Visit our website for a full listing of Preservation Month events.

GIVE BIG with the Big Give on May 4!

It's time for the annual Big Give! The Big Give is an online fundraising event supporting the nonprofits that help make our region a great place to work, live, learn, and play. This year, your donation to the Power of Preservation Foundation (PoP) will help turn the Kelso House into a learning lab for preservation education.

The Amazing Preservation Race: Last Chance to Register!

The Amazing Preservation Race is the ultimate urban adventure! This year's race will be held this Saturday, May 6. Teams of four will solve clues and complete challenges throughout downtown San Antonio. Registration has been extended through May 3 - register your team now!

Roll up your sleeves for Rehabarama on May 13!

Rehabarama is a single-day event where volunteers, local contractors, students, corporate teams, and neighborhood leaders will join together to revitalize and restore an entire city block with aging housing stock in the historic neighborhood of Denver Heights. We can't achieve something THIS big without your participation. Register to volunteer today!

Join our citywide block party for Preservation Month!

Join our Preservation Month Block Party at Pittman-Sullivan Park on Saturday, May 13, starting at 6pm. Everyone's invited to join in on the celebration, which will include free food, music, kids activities, and more, plus an outdoor screening of the movie Cars! Invite all of your neighbors to join!

Kick off Rehabarama weekend at Cool Crest!

Join OHP and PoP on Friday, May 12, for the Mini-Golf Extravaganza! There will be food, drinks, music, mini-golf, prizes, and OHP and PoP 2017 Fiesta medals available for purchase. Proceeds from this event support the hands-on preservation projects such as Rehabarama on May 13 and the new learning lab at the Kelso House . Register today!
