How were the finalists selected?
The executive search firm we contracted with assisted in the development of a leadership profile of desired qualifications. These qualifications were derived from online surveys, stakeholder focus groups, and board priorities. The district received submissions from coast-to-coast and after board deliberations, the pool was narrowed to seven semi-finalists. The semi-finalists underwent thorough background and reference checks by our search firm. From there, the board screened the candidates and selected the finalists.
What happens next?
- Finalists will be participating in a series of events and interviews in the district April 27 and 28 including a Community Forum on Friday, April 27 from 7-9 p.m at the Weld RE-5J Administration Building (110 Centennial Dr A, Milliken, CO 80543), East Training Room. This event will also be Livestreamed.
- On May 3, 2018 the board hopes to announce a sole finalist for the permanent superintendent position.
We are excited to present for your consideration four incredibly talented finalists. We hope you will accept our invitation to get to know these candidates by attending the April 27 Community Forum.
