First and foremost, thank you so much for your interest in the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra. This season has been an amazing one which we started by celebrating the heroes of our community with Strauss's powerful Ein Heldenleben and have continued with concerts receiving rave reviews from The Day and the all-important voice - you, the audience.
The excitement only builds as we approach our 70th season next year
, curated by Music Director and Conductor Toshiyuki Shimada to be an absolutely unforgettable one. Top tier talent will grace the Garde's stage: pianist Boris Berman, violinist Julie Eskar, and New York Philharmonic principal trombone Joseph Alessi are just a few of the amazing musicians who will herald in this monumental year.
Repertoire worthy of this milestone has been chosen, from Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade to Beethoven's universally adored 9th Symphony. We will go on sonic adventures exploring the sounds of whales alongside the orchestra, an evening of storybook suites, and an epic space-themed program.
