Ayata CEO & Founder, Atanu Basu to Keynote at PROPEL
"How would Google drill?"

Atanu has 20 years of experience in software and high-tech industries. His entire career has been focused on conceptualizing, developing, selling and deploying emerging technologies. He holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering.

Ayata (which means "future" in Sanskrit) invented and refined the technology for Prescriptive Analytics over a decade of R&D. Ayata's software ingests all types of data - Videos, Images, Sounds, Text and Numbers - to Predict what's ahead and Prescribe how to improve this predicted future, without disrupting other priorities.

Atanu founded Ayata in 2003 as an R&D outfit to combine different scientific and computational disciplines for developing Prescriptive Analytics software that can take into account data in all formats. Ayata incorporated as a business in 2009 when the State of Texas invested to commercialize its technology inventions. Today, Ayata's software is in its 5th generation and the company has an expanding intellectual property portfolio of US Patents (30 on file, including 5 issued, with 500+ claims) and US Trademarks (including "Prescriptive Analytics" for two categories: Software and SaaS).

Ayata is focused on industries that are being disrupted as Mother Nature meets Internet of Things. While Ayata's technology is horizontal in nature and is proven with customers such as Microsoft, Cisco, Dell and Juniper Networks, Ayata is currently focused on the Oil & Gas vertical where its customers include "Fortune 20" Integrated Oil Companies (IOC) and "Fortune 500" Exploration & Production (E&P) companies. Ayata is going to add another industry in 2016.

Ayata has been featured in BloombergTV (twice), HART Energy Conferences (four times), Deloitte Oil & Gas Conference, Energy Makers Show, Oil & Gas Investor, E&P Magazine, WIRED, GigaOm, InformationWeek, Gizmodo, AgTech Week, and other prominent media venues.
