Jeff Dunn (2014),
Gillian Sorensen (2014), Sesame Workshop, and the International Rescue Committee on being named the MacArthur Foundation 100&Change grant winner!
Sesame Workshop and IRC will use the $100 million grant to implement an evidence-based, early childhood development intervention in the Syrian response region of Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria.
The Wall Street Journal recently profiled ALI and other institutions launching advanced leadership programs. The article notes that ALI was the pioneer in directing advanced leaders to address global problems.
Laura Klauberg (2017) is using virtual reality technology to teach teens about the dangers of opioids. Ms. Klauberg's Edification Project has been recognized among the top digital health startups by
MassChallenge and named to their 2018 PULSE cohort.
Steve Leveen (2015) is raising awareness about the forgotten war on the German language. In the latest
episode of his podcast, Mr. Leveen explores the violent reaction to all things German-American during World War I.
David Moody (2015) is sharing his lessons learned from rafting down the Grand Canyon. Mr. Moody shared photo highlights and his insights on dealing with anxiety in a recent
vlog.
Torsten Thiele (2014) is finding innovative ways to protect and preserve the world's oceans. Mr. Thiele was featured on the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies podcast to discuss his work to finance climate change solutions.
Eduardo Carvalho (2013) is helping nurture global citizens around the world. Mr. Carvalho recently authored several
books offering insights into the development of global leaders and entrepreneurs.
Charlie Bolden (2009) will receive the Naval Academy's Distinguished Graduate Award. Mr. Bolden will be
honored at a ceremony on March 23 along with five other graduates, including Senator John McCain.
Jamie Kaplan (2009) continues to advise The Cromwell Center for Disabilities Awareness. The Center's innovative disabilities awareness program has been offered free of charge to nearly 100,000 elementary school students in more than 5,000 classrooms across three states.
