Youth Group is seeking volunteers for shifts to sell ICGC merchandise this weekend during Annual Day tournament and competition.

Annual Day 2016
Basketball Tournament & Quran Recitation Competition

Basketball tournament for Boys and Girls will start on Friday (May 13th) evening at our center. On Saturdays (May 14th) Boys Matches will begin at 9:30 AM at the Friars Club and Boys Matches start at 9:30 AM at Roger Bacon High School next door to the Friars Club. Championship matches for girls will be on Sunday May 15th, in the morning in recreational Building. Boys Championship matches will be on May 15th in our recreational building after the girl's matches are done.  We will be having the Peewee boys and girls matches in between as well.  Timings and other details will be provided.

Quranic Recitation Competition will be on Sunday May 15th at 10.00 in Mirror Hall followed by Award Ceremony in INTAC after Dhuhur Prayer. 

Please listen to the beautiful reciters and enjoy watching basketball tournament.

The Mothers Prayer Room in the Community Center with beautiful surroundings make it easy for mothers with young children to listen to the Khutba and participate in Juma'ah congregation. It is open for the 1:15 and the 3:30 Khutbas and prayers.

A new Islamic Kids library is inside The Mother's Prayer Room! Your little ones can enjoy these books during juma and then put them back for others to enjoy.

Alhamdulillah lot of people attended the program. Thanks to Sr. Sadiqua Rahman and Dr. Shaikh Abdurrahman for sponsoring the scholarship. We heard a beautiful Quranic recitation from Zumair Hayath. It was great to hear from 2 alumni;  Sr Komal Safdar and Arman Hasan, who had received these awards in the past. Finally, thanks to Nayha (Meryam) Mysorewala to make a delicious cake for this occasion.

We are excited to inform you that a campaign by the name -  Our Masjid, Our Future - is being started to ensure that our beautiful place of worship will remain vibrant for this and future generations to come. A small team of volunteers has been chartered to engage everyone in the community to participate in making the Islamic Center financially self-reliant and self-sufficient. Contact the Office for information about rental for Organizational Use such as fundraising (limited and subject to Board approval)

Steps for renting the Dinner Hall (gymnasium):
  1. Call the office to inquire about date availability. Rentals are first come basis and all these steps must be complete before your date can be reserved/held.
  2. Fully complete Pages 2 & 5 of the Agreement. (Page 7 can be completed later, due 5 days prior to your rental)
  3. This Agreement + Payment must be returned to the office before your event date can be reserved.
  4. Return the completed Agreement to the Administrative Office in-person either during office hours 9am-4:00pm or leave in the black "Admin" mailbox on the wall next to the Admin office door. Include a CHECK for the deposit amount of $250.00 made payable to IEC. This check is held until after your event and is meant to insure against damage, misuse, or clean up related to violation of Agreement terms. Important: Deposit checks are voided/shredded after a post-event inspection and cannot be applied to your rental fee (due 5 days prior to your rental). 
Rental of the International Academy's cafeteria is done through the Academy Office in person from 9am-2pm. Call 513-755-0169 to inquire about rates and availability.

Islamic Center In The News

Every community has a narra tive.  Either that community controls the narrative or the narrative cont rols the community.   Now more than ever the American Muslim community has to take control of the narrative. This can only be achieved if as a community we are building bridges and inroads with media.  Media outlets want to cover stories and do pieces that people are interested in. They want viewers, readers, comments, and discussions.  It is critical that as a community we are more visible and more vocal in the media.
We have been blessed for wide and positive coverage of the Center.  When there is positive coverage we must all give feedback and acknowledge and appreciate the work of the media. Please take a few minutes to review the media links and give positive feedback where you feel comfortable.
