Annual Fund

November, 2014

Dear Friends and Neighbors:

Whyte Hall is our Pines' Community Center and, once again, this past season was a perfect example of just how completely the venue meets that definition. It hosted the season's opening and closing parties, artist lectures, a designer goods sale for charity, a 50th anniversary celebration, a documentary on the evolution of Cherry Grove, a major fund raiser for Hetrick Martin, a Care Center Wellness Clinic, the GMHC Prep Rally, a poetry reading, DRA's Major Donor event, miscellaneous artistic performances, our annual community show, church and temple services, meetings, memorials and yoga classes ... and next season is shaping up to be even busier and more varied. Whyte Hall also houses the FIPPOA offices, Pines Care Center and physician's apartment.

The residents of the Pines built Whyte Hall eight years ago. It has served our community well. Rental fees, voluntary contributions from Pines' user groups and contracts with Verizon and T-Mobile partially offset the operating costs of the building. However, the continued generosity of Pines' residents and businesses bridges our funding gap to assure sound operation, as well as appropriate maintenance and improvements.

Please consider joining your Pines' neighbors as supporters of Whyte Hall. In the last campaign, the Annual Fund raised over $65,000 and we hope to do so again for the 2015 season.

You can contribute here for 2015!

Thank you, in advance, for your support of this important community asset.

Cordially,

The Whyte Hall Operations Committee
