A year of planning for a weekend of giving.  It's only a month until the "9th Annual Abby's Closet Prom Gown Giveaway" on March 16-17 at the Oregon Convention Center. We anticipate that over 2,500 high school women will attend this event to receive a free formal gown.  We want to ensure they each leave with the gown of their dreams. 

At the event

Donate your gently-used formal gowns, wraps and purses.  Especially needed are gowns in sizes 0-4 and 16 and larger.  Go to our WEBSITE to find your nearest donation drop-site.
ANNUAL GIVEAWAY EVENT VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

It takes a tremendous volunteer effort to host this giveaway event.  Over 400 volunteers are needed to help at this year's Prom Gown Giveaway at the Oregon Convention Center.  Go to our website to sign up now.  Here is a list of our volunteer needs:

 

Set Up (Men and Women, middle school age and above):

 

Thursday, March 14, 11:30-3:30pm 

Thursday, March 14, 3:30pm - 7:30pm

 

Prom Gown Giveaway Event (Women only, must be out of high school):

Saturday, March 16, 7:00am-1:00pm

Saturday, March 16, 10:45am-2:00pm

Saturday, March 16, 12:45pm-5:00pm

Sunday, March 17, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

 

*To volunteer all day on Saturday, please sign up for the 7:00am-1:00pm AND 12:45pm-5:00pm shifts. 

 

Tear Down (Men and Women, middle school age and above):

Sunday, March 11, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

NEED A (FREE) PROM GOWN?

 

If you are a high school student in need of a free prom gown, you are invited to come to the largest prom gown closet in Oregon.  Even if you don't know if you are going to prom this year, come get a gown.  We have THOUSANDS to give away.  The gowns are absolutely FREE; all you need to do is show us your high school ID. 

 

The fun-filled, 2-day giveaway event will be held at the pinkOregon Convention Center on Saturday, March 16, 8 am-5pm, and Sunday, March 17, 10 am-2pm.  This is the only giveaway event of the year, so you don't want to miss it!  Once the event is over, the gowns are packed up and put into storage until next year's giveaway event.

 

There will be over 7,000 gowns available to choose from, in all styles and colors in sizes 0-26.  Come find the perfect dress for your special evening. For more information, visit our WEBSITE. 

ABBY'S CLOSET TEA & AUCTION
SAVE THE DATE:  Sunday, April 28, 2013 
 
Save the date and plan to attend our Abby's Closet Tea & Auction.  It will be held on Sunday, April 28th at 1 pmTea at the West Linn Adult Community Center.  This is our major fundraiser of the year and will help fund next year's Prom Gown Giveaway.  We hope we can count on your support.  Tickets will go on sale soon!
