On April 3rd, KID released our annual report:
A KID Report: 2017 Children's Product Recalls and 2016 Recall Effectiveness.
There were 93 children's products recalled in 2017, a 22% increase from 2016, for hazards including choking, laceration, fall, tip-over and more. We analyzed trends in 2017 recalls and also outline why poor quality data makes it impossible to assess recall effectiveness. We're calling on the CPSC to hold manufacturers accountable to consumers.
