Thank you for GWL Earth Day / Comcast Cares Day!

Thank you to every volunteer who came out to support GWL Earth Day / Comcast Cares Day. It was a cold one, and the weather was less than agreeable. However, over 700 people came out to clean Lawrence's parks and streets, and we built five new garden beds at Lawrence High School. Your determination to make Lawrence cleaner and greener never falters, and we are so incredibly thankful.

We want to give special thanks to Comcast for supporting a ninth year of collaboration, and we can't wait for next year! Thank you to the City of Lawrence, the Lawrence Senior Center, Jackson Lumber & Millwork, Peter Breen Excavating, Inc., Covanta, Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence High School Ninth Grade Academy, and Lawrence Public Schools Nutrition Services for all of your support.
Thank you for coming to the Open House!

Thank you to all of our friends who were able to come to our Open House. We absolutely adore our new Learning Kitchen and workspace, and we are so proud to share it with our community and supporters. If you were unable to attend, please feel welcome to visit us, and we hope everyone stops by again soon.
On Monday, May 1st, the Groundwork Office will be closed in solidarity with Cosecha's Un Día Sin Inmigrantes Marcha / Day Without Immigrants March. GWL board members and staff will be marching to support the rights, liberties, and impact of immigrants in our community. If you are able, we hope you will join us on the Campagnone (North) Common.
