Let Your Voice Be Heard at Your Library
Deschutes Public Library is a forum for information and ideas and serves as a gathering space for people of all origin, age, background and views. We encourage you to discover your voice and to listen to the voices of others within your community, and beyond, as they share ideas, concerns and aspirations. Visit our new Voices page, which is dedicated to helping you discover materials and information presenting varied points of view on current and historical issues. Don't Toss It-- Recycle Your e-Waste!
Do you have an old phone or computer that you don't use, but don't know what to do with? Recycle your electronics in a safe way that benefits our community! Join us at the Redmond Library on March 11 from 1:00 to 4:00, where you can drop off your:
- Cell phones and their cords, attachments, etc.
- Covered electronic devices, such as: computer monitors, CPUs (towers and desktops), laptops, printers, mice, keyboards
- Ink and ink cartridges

Cell phones will be donated to Saving Grace, ink cartridges will be recycled locally, all other items will be donated to the Community Foundation for refurbishment or recycling. Check this link for details about items that we cannot take.
Story Time is Fun Time; Join Us!
Our libraries offer dozens of early literacy story times every month. Why is this important? Children who enter kindergarten with a strong vocabulary, a love of books and a familiarity with playing words have an advantage. Join us for Baby Steps, Animal Adventures, Toddlin' Tales, Pajama Party, Science Story Time and so much more! Find the full schedule of story times and children's programs here. And while you're at the library, be sure to pick up a big stack of books to take home so you can continue to read, play and grow with your child.
