Summer is Here!

Daffodils have come and gone in the deep south and the heat of summer is just around the corner!  Hydrangeas are blooming!

Our AntiqueTrail.com members in Alabama have enjoyed a lovely May after all the April showers! These daffodils and hydrangeas are from Marcia's yard!  The daffodil photo is by Kristin Hicks, our "NEW" newsletter editor.  Look forward to having a regular monthly newsletter!

Tennessee Decorative Arts Symposium

Marcia attended the symposium May 16 at the  Belmont Mansion in Nashville, TN.  The speakers were scholars, collectors, and historians whose topics ranged from restoration of the Tennessee capital, to marble, silver, furniture, and reflections on the southern elite taking the Grand Tour.  The mansion has an excellent collection of John Henry Belter furniture.  It is a "must" tour for 19th century collectors.
