School Site Council Nomination Form New!

Anza Elementary School needs you! School Site Council has 2 openings. If you
want to help shape the future of our school - please get involved.

We have openings for two parent/community members on School Site Council (SSC) effective June 1, 2018. Council Members serve for two years and may put their name in nomination again at the completion of their two-year term. SSC is one of the most important decision-making groups on campus. It is comprised of six parents and six staff members. We meet six (6) times a year, on a Thursday afternoon, at 3:30 pm. The purpose of SSC is to develop our school's Single Plan for Student Achievement, monitor its implementation, and evaluate the results. Each year the council must revise and recommend the plan, including the proposed expenditures of all funds allocated to the school through the Consolidated Application, to the TUSD School Board for approval. We also develop the Safe School Plan for the current school year. We use SSC as a sounding board for ideas or programs that we are considering implementing at school, and share lots of pertinent information about what's happening at Anza and in the district. We would like to encourage parents who represent a cross section of students at our school to participate on Council.

Due April 27th, 2018

Torrance Unified School District
Parents and Guardians of Anza Elementary,
We are happy to announce the launch of our new student information system, PowerSchool.
PowerSchool will be replacing Parent Connect this fall of 2017. In order to access the new portal you will need to create a new account. This can be done by visiting and selecting the Create Account tab. It is very important that you submit an accurate email address. We recommend the Google Chrome or Firefox browser to access the portal.
You will need your student's Access ID and Password to link your child to your account. If you have multiple children in the district, you will receive a separate letter for each child, which you can link to your newly created account.
Example of Student Access ID and Password
[NAME OF CHILD] Access Password is #####
Please keep your passwords confidential so that only you can access the information.
Once you have your account created and child(ren) linked, we ask that you click on the Registration link to update your information and review district agreements.

News You Can Use

Dear Anza Parents,

Anza is striving to go paperless! With this effort we will not be distributing after school program flyers on a regular basis. If you would be interested in a class, please click below to find out what programs are available or check in the office to see if there might be a hard copy for you. Please note, these partners have no affiliations to Anza Elementary and our school does not profit from these programs. This link will remain on the Communicator for your convenience and will typically be found at the bottom of the email.

Please contact if you have any questions.
