Dear Ao1 Families,

Welcome to our Fall Session and to the Audience of One family! It's been exciting to meet so many new Ao1 families and catch up with our returning friends this past week!  We're thrilled to be working with your wonderful kiddo's and looking forward to a fantastic session!

This is the first issue of our Fall 2016 Weekly Notes which will be emailed to you each Saturday.  This first portion of the notes will contain general information for all families. Individual show sections below include notes from the artistic teams and rehearsal schedule details pertaining to each specific production.  Please read these notes thoroughly each week as they are our primary source of communications throughout the session.

We will link documents and forms to the side bar each week.  All documents linked in the side bar will remain there for the entirety of the session for easy access.  Devotions will also be linked here each week.  Our devotions contain a family section for your enjoyment at home and a class section which our LIFEGuards will lead each week during rehearsal devotion time.

The Ao1 website member section ao1theater.org is also a good resource for archived documents, weekly notes, and our google calendar.  The password is Shine2016 and is also listed in the side bar.

Mark your calendar!  The parent meetings are Tuesday, August 30th and Friday, September 2nd 5-7 pm in the CCC sanctuary. You only need to attend one of the meetings. We are offering a Tuesday and Friday meeting option for your convenience.  General information will be shared at the beginning of the meeting, then the Production Team leads will be introduced and committees will meet during the latter portion of the meeting. Committee assignments will be emailed this week and your Production Team lead will be contacting you with details about committee expectations and schedules.

Lastly, we would love it if you would like us on facebook
https://www.facebook.com/ao1theater. We will post any rehearsal weather delays or cancellations on facebook and it's also is a great way to access and share show information with your facebook friends!!

Blessings,

.
Nightlighters,

It was so great seeing some of you again and meeting some of you for the first time! Sammie and I loved getting to know a little bit about each of you and our show.

Next week we have our auditions! Please come to rehearsal ready to perform a song and tell a joke. Due to the demanding nature of this show we would also love for you to know the chorus to the title song "Winnie the Pooh" We will do a lot of individual and group activities to match them with a great role!

We also have head shots during rehearsal this week. Please have your child arrive with hair as they'd like it and in a black top. These adorable pictures are hung up on our bio boards and are a wonderful keepsake when the show is over.

Just a few reminders-

Please understand how important it is that your child attends all rehearsals and is on time. This is a demanding show and we need every minute of every rehearsal. Your child is important to our cast!

Also, pizza will be available at rehearsal and eaten during our dinner break at 6:00 (if not eaten during hang time at 4:30). Each slice is $1. Please send a water bottle with your child. Clean snack/dinner is also a great idea (nut free please).

CD's were handed out last week, listen to it every chance you get. REPETITION is the key to success!

We are so excited for this show and to work with your kiddos.

Dir Micah and Asst Dir Sammie

Hello to all of the Mulan Cast 1 and Cast 2 families!

What a great way to start the session! Congratulations to all of the cast members! You made our jobs really hard with your fantastic auditions and callbacks. So very proud of you! Thank you so much for sharing your gifts and your talents with us. We are so happy each and everyone of you are a part of this show.

First rehearsals were so great and so fun. So excited for the shows.

A couple of things to keep in mind for rehearsals from this point on... For each rehearsal, each cast member needs to bring a water bottle, script, pencil and shoes they can dance in. Also, we will not be taking an official dinner break during rehearsals. We will have snack break times, but not a dinner break time. Please make sure you eat before rehearsal or during hang time.

Listen to your music. Bring lots of energy. See you next week!

Below are some important date changes for our Mulan II Cast:

Friday, Oct. 14th rehearsal has been moved to Thursday, Oct. 13th due to a scheduling conflict at the church.

Hey Ao1 Improv,

Welcome to class or welcome back if you have worked with us before! I had so much fun this past week getting classes going and hanging out with everyone. This is going to be a fun session!

Head Shots are being taken this week during our Tuesday and Friday rehearsals (4-6 pm) and we need our Improvers to drop by during one of those times to have their photos taken.

Levels I & II - Remember to bring a word to class with the definition.

Also, we will continue to use the West entrance of the church for Improv.

See you guys on Thursday!
Miss Elizabeth
