Greetings!
Get out your calendars, I-phones, smart phones and Blackberries and mark down UCCTU's three important activities this summer.
June 15, our Chapter is both a sponsor and a participant in the Riverkeeper's Chattahoochee River Race. We've worked hard to keep it clean and full of trout, register and join me and other UCCTU paddlers. See below for details.
July 13 is our only Back-the-Brookie work day. Spend the morning on beautiful XXXX creek, ankle deep in clean cold brook trout water. There are rocks and logs and activities for volunteers of all abilities. Learn where to fish for Georgia native brook trout next year. Watch for further details next month.
August 10 we are back on the Hooch for a paddle cleanup with the Riverkeeper. This will be our last conservation activity of the year. Don't miss it!
Finally, this month please join me in thanking Mark Romzick for his unending efforts running our monthly raffle and auctions. They have widespread participation as members take advantage of deals on fishing accessories. And the revenue they generate helps fund Chapter conservation and education activities. when you see Mark struggling with his bins either into or out of our meeting, give him and hand and tell him "Thanks".

RIZZIO CLINIC CANCELLED FOR 2013
Thank you to all of you who volunteered to be instructors at this year's planned Rizzio Fly Fishing Clinic scheduled for May 4.
With just weeks to go before the event, and only a handful of registered students, The decision was made to cancel for this year. We've seen this in the past, and the result may be that Rizzio is scheduled on an every other year basis. |
