Dear Members:

Happy Spring!  Is that a true statement?  After all, our Annual Conference scheduled in mid-March was derailed due to a snowstorm.  That just gives us a few more months to fine tune our agenda and then enjoy the warmth of the early summer.  With the conference being rescheduled to June 14th, there is still time to register and there are still plenty of events to attend.

One event I always look forward to is the annual Supplier Diversity EXPO and April meeting.  For this year's event we head back to a past host, Morgan Stanley.  This is a key experience for members who will be in attendance whether they have a table, or are just interested in meeting suppliers that are in the MWBE category.  Providing this kind of forum is essential for many of our member's companies to meet MWBE suppliers they may not ordinarily get an opportunity to do.  I encourage you to attend and if you have a supplier you think would benefit from attending, please recommend this event to them.

Finally, please remember to conduct an assessment on your skillsets and how you stack up against your peers.  There is renewed optimism in the business world and once again, hiring is beginning to happen at a brisk pace.  If you see positions which require skills you might not have then take a look at our professional development classes.  We are coming off one of our most successful years for enrollment and I encourage you to see if there are offerings that can build up your knowledge and skillsets to meet any new opportunities that might come your way.
