Familiar Songs, Unfamiliar Stories
Beloved and Historic American Songs & their Amazing Stories! Presented By: Ramblin' Richard

This interesting and entertaining program brin gs to light the fascinating unfamiliar stories about some of our most beloved American songs.
Richard asks questions such as: What was America's favorite president's favorite song, and why was it so unlikely?  What song rose to popularity again after nearly 100 years?  How are 'God Bless America" and 'This Land is your Land" connected?  What old American song was so beloved that it got the songwriter released from state prison- twice?  After the questions come the answers...and the songs!

Container Gardening with Master Gardener Laura Kozel

Learn how to create and maintain beautiful container plantings! This talk includes discussion of various containers, soil (and its maintenance), the hardiest and best performing perennials and annuals for color all summer, using vines for height, wintering over, and a slew of lessons learned from years of roof deck gardening in Boston.

Get a jump start on your garden! Join us as we make homemade newspaper seedling pots and DIY plant tags. We'll be planting some seeds in our pots. If you have some you'd like to get started please feel free to bring them along.
 
This program is being held twice. Please sign up for one session only.

Come on in and make a Lego movie! Join us as we plot out, create, and film our own short. We'll be using Lego mini-figs and Lego bricks. Bring your ideas and your enthusiasm!

Liz Barbour Cookbook Signing and Talk

Join local chef, Liz Barbour, for a book signing of her first cookbook, Beautifully Delicious. Liz will show photos from her cookbook, talk about the writing process, and take questions from the audience. Beautifully Delicious has more than 60 recipes, 100 full-color photos, and a great section of how-to tips. 
Cool Technology
3D Design, Printing & Robotics
(Ages 8-14)

Participants will learn how to use 3D software to create and print 3D objects.  This makerspace hands-on activity gives participants an opportunity to learn, create, invent, build and have fun.
