Children Are Our Future!

Children are our Future. The ability to enhance the children’s education process in the afterschool programs has been very successful at Froebel.

24:1 Early Childhood Learning Center

The wet weather has given the kids at the 24:1 Early Childhood Learning Center something to talk about this week! Learn more about this free, half-day kindergarten readiness program for children in the Normandy Schools area below.

Training

Our Adult and Infant CPR and Adult and Pediatric First Aid training is ideal for child care providers, teachers and parents. Our pediatric version teaches appropriate emergency response skills and prevention strategies for the care of infants and children, as well as adults. Both training meets DSS and DHSS requirements.

Learn more about our June training sessions below.

Week of the Young Child

Children need a strong early learning foundation to succeed in school and life. We are proud to partner with the following local organizations to bring attention to this issue of vital importance to our community: Beyond Housing, The Magic House and Ameren. This year's event is April 16-20, 2018.

Learn more about the WOYC and how you can get involved below.
Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Raising public awareness about the scope and serious impact of child traumatic stress on the safety and healthy development of America's youth is central to raising the standard of care and increasing access to quality services for traumatized children and their families.

Through our Social Emotional Early Childhood Project (SEEC) children are given the social & emotional skills needed to be successful in life. Teachers learn how to support children through problems solving and conflict resolution using a preventative model of working through challenging behaviors.

Learn more about our SEEC Project below.

World Autism Awareness Month

April is World Autism Awareness Month.
Joined by the international community, hundreds of thousands of landmarks, buildings, homes and communities around the world, light blue in recognition of people living with autism.

If you care for a child with special needs United 4 Children can assist you. Children with developmental, behavioral or physical challenges and their families are offered security, compassion and understanding through our Inclusion Services Program .
