Individuals and groups from across central Maryland are invited to get involved in our Access to Healthy Food Initiative by participating in hands-on volunteer activities this spring through our Days of Action! Join us for the date/location most convenient for you:
On April 17, members of our Tocqueville Society came together for an "In Their Own Words" breakfast with Patrick McCarthy, president and CEO of the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Patrick spoke about the responsibility all of us have to help decrease poverty and build strong families and communities -- a focus of UWCM's as we launch our new Family Stability initiative this year.
As part of our celebration of National Volunteer Week, we are featuring several of our incredibly passionate and committed volunteers on our blog throughout the week. Thank you to ALL of our volunteers who lend us your precious time and energy.

The American Cancer Society, a longtime UWCM partner, is in need of volunteers for its Road to Recovery program, an initiative that UWCM helps fund that enables low-income cancer patients to get to and from their doctor appointments. Learn more about Road to Recovery.
