Mask Project in Madison
The "Seeing Each Other Through The Eyes of God" Mask Project continues in Madison County. The Victim Witness Program saw the transformative power of our fall community exhibit and the hope of giving people courage to speak up for help. They gathered support from Culpeper Baptist, Mt. Carmel and Mtn. View Chapel churches, SAFE, and Madison's Commonwealth Attorney as they brought women and children together for a night of dinner, mask making and peer support. One of the participant's thank you note said "I enjoyed the amazing event, food and company! The event was therapeutic, fun and uplifting for me! Found myself with tears in my eyes as I painted the inside of my mask but joy in my spirit and heart as I made my way to the front." Art opening dates are forthcoming.
