GLAD Alliance launches writing project

The GLAD Alliance launched an Eastertide Writing Project to help promote dialogue within the church regarding the complexity of sexuality and life in the church. An article each day will discuss one aspect of this broad subject. There will be articles from clergy, regional ministers, past adjudicatory leaders, and other leaders. The alliance intends this small step will help provide ways the church may see the risen Christ in difficult conversations. General Assembly resolution is driving Disciples Women's programs

Having resolved to declare its opposition to human trafficking and encourage member, congregations, etc., to engage in education and advocacy efforts to end human trafficking as well as to protect victims, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada has taken steps forward in living out the adoption of this resolution.  Read more

 

 



Talent 4 the House 2012 rocks Nashville Disciples again 
The fifth "Talent for the House" for Disciples Divinity House at Vanderbilt gathered more than 300 Disciples from 20 Disciple congregations in Nashville and beyond on March 29. Disciples enjoyed dinner, a silent auction items and listened to Nashville musicians Vince Gill, Jonell Mosser, Thom and Tallu Schuyler, Gabe Dixon, Stuart Duncan, and student performers Allison Enari and Katie Russell. Disciple students shared what the House means to them in their preparation for ministry at Vanderbilt.  More information
