Annual General Meeting and Spring Symposium
A reminder that our Spring Symposium and Annual General Meeting and Branch Recognition Awards will be held on Friday, June 16 at the Santa Maria Goretti Community Centre in Edmonton.  The Spring Symposium will be held in the morning and the AGM and Branch Recognition Awards will begin after a lunch break.
National Volunteer Week
April 23-29, 2017 is National Volunteer Week in Canada.  The Lifesaving Society would like to thank all of our volunteers for their outstanding efforts to support our humanitarian mandate to prevent drowning and water-related injury through our training programs, Water Smart® public education, drowning research, safety management services and lifesaving sport.  
Lifesaving Society Volunteers Required
The Society requires Regional representatives to support our Water Smart® community activation's scheduled from May until September 2017.  The Society will do all the legwork and prepare all the materials for the event.  If you are interested in attending an event on behalf of the Society please contact [email protected] for dates and more information.
Lifesaving Society Leadership Courses
The Lifesaving Society hosts several leadership events annually. The Society's Leadership Schedule and links to registration are posted on our website under Branch Events. Our next leadership event is an Instructor Trainer Clinic in Okotoks May 17-19, 2017.

World Conference on Drowning Prevention - Sponsorship Opportunities

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) will lead the overall operation and administration of the National Office. CAO serves as the chief executive of the Lifesaving Society Canada (LSC) and provides the leadership to guide the successful execution of the National Society's mission, vision and mandate. As the leader of the organization, the CAO is responsible for cultivating a strong, professional and effective organization.

Alberta and Northwest Territories Pool Lifesaving Championships and Junior Games

The Society has posted photographs from the Pool Lifesaving Championships and Junior Games that were held March 17-19 at the Max Bell Regional Aquatic Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta.  Congratulations to the City of Calgary Poseidon as the Junior Games Champions and the Calgary Winter Club Tsunamis as the Pool Lifesaving Champions and the Overall Champions!
