Virtual Catalog Changes Coming
The Massachusetts Statewide Virtual Catalog is migrating to a new software interface that will allow easier searching. As consortia start to switch their holdings over to the new system, their catalogs will no longer be searchable in the current Virtual Catalog. The change will be gradual and only noticeable by fewer and fewer materials showing up when the current version is searched. Read more
Snapshot Day 2014
Between now and the week of April 5, Beverly Library staff will be preparing for the American Library Association's "Library Snapshot Day," which culminates the week of April 6, 2014 in librarians around the nation displaying snapshots of what happens in a single day in their libraries. Over the next few weeks, Beverly Library staff will join librarians around Massachusetts in periodically taking photos of the library in action, including the building, our collections, services, programs, and most importantly, people! Participation is entirely voluntary. To see photos taken during previous Massachusetts Snapshot Days, please click here. And some time during the week of April 6, be sure to check our Facebook and Flickr pages to see a "snapshot" of a typical day at the Beverly Public Library.
