National Tartan Day April 6, 2014
"Americans of Scottish descent have played a vibrant and influential role in the development of the United States. From the framers of the Declaration of Independence to the first man on the moon, Scottish-Americans have contributed mightily to the fields of the arts, science, politics, law, and more. Today, over eleven million Americans claim Scottish and Scotch-Irish roots -- making them the eighth largest ethnic group in the United States. These are the people and accomplishments that are honored on National Tartan Day, April 6th."

TRIVIA CONTEST
March's trivia question was:
St. Patrick, Ireland's patron saint, was not Irish by birth! Where was he born?
The correct answer is Roman Britain. We accepted any answer as correct that would've been considered part of Roman occupied Britain at the time of St. Patrick's birth.
The winner is Lindsay Gattis. There is a $20 gift certificate waiting at the store for Lindsay.
This month's trivia question, inspired by our lovely Texas wildflowers, is: "What is the national flower of Wales?"
If you think you know the answer to the question, send an email to [email protected] with "April Trivia" in the subject line. The prize this month is a $20 Things Celtic gift certificate.
The winner will be drawn from all the entries with the correct answer. Good luck!
