Easton's Story: Heart Ball 2016

For the second year in a row, Metro Productions had the honor of producing the Richmond American Heart Association's Heart Ball fundraising video. We were proud to serve as a sponsor for the annual event, which  recognizes the hard work and dedication of the organization's volunteers and donors. Watch the video to learn more about a special little guy named Easton and how the American Heart Association changes lives every day!

Filmapalooza 2016

This past summer , team Pixel Drop's (composed of Metro Productions employees and freelancers/volunteers) entry Fool Me Twice won the Best Film award for Richmond's 48 Hour Film Project before moving to the next level: Filmapalooza, an international film festival!

Seven Pixel Drop members headed to Atlanta at the beginning of March to attend the Fool Me Twice Filmapalooza screening. The entire group had a blast, saw amazing movies, and met fellow filmmakers from around the globe. While Pixel Drop didn't receive any additional awards, it was still a weekend to remember.

Members of the creative team on the red carpet!

Meet Rich Diller

We are delighted to introduce Metro's new operations manager, Rich Diller! Rich comes from our sister company, m2 Pictures, and brings over 10 years of production and management experience to the team. He will develop and streamline our back office systems and processes in order to deliver improvements across our business and enhance the client experience.

Tell us a little about yourself.
My degree is from York College of PA in mass communications, which inspired me to work in the TV industry for most of my professional career. After starting out as a video editor for local TV news, I worked for ABC Family in the traffic department. Then I was in production with an advertising agency. I eventually determined that my organizational skills outweighed my creative ones, and for the past 7 years I have been the post-production supervisor at m2 Pictures, which led me to Metro Productions.

What skills do you bring to Metro?
Managing workload and processes is a strength of mine. I also have a lot of knowledge in and out of video production that will be useful as we focus on the company's future growth.

Who are your role models?
My parents have played the largest part in who I am as a person. I have also had many professional role models in my life, and I've grown in my career due to them imparting their wisdom and knowledge to me. I would say my life's experience is my biggest role model.

What do you like to do on your days off?
I spend all my time with my wife and two kids. When we have the ability to do things as a family, we love to go to the beach, spend time with friends, and travel to see our extended family.  We'll also just play around the house and enjoy each other's company. On occasion, I try to get away and play golf or do some fishing on the bay.
