Mission Statement

Culver-Stockton College students take on China
Nineteen students and two professors from Culver-Stockton College are taking exotic and faraway places and turning them into a common experience by traveling to China from April 22 through May 1. A blog capturing the students' experiences will be posted online at the Quincy Herald Whig.  Follow them on their trip here. 
C-SC Hires New VP of Advancement and Alumni Programs
  Culver-Stockton College will soon welcome a new member to its senior leadership team. Dr. Bill Sheehan, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., has accepted the new role as Vice President for Advancement. He will bring professional experience in fundraising, alumni relations and public relations.

Dr. Sheehan graduated from the University of Missouri with a Masters of Education in 1987 and a Doctorate of Philosophy in 1997. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Methodist University in 1984.
 
Alumni Summer Weekend June 10-12
Join us for Alumni Summer Weekend! This year all activities are priced a la carte so you can come for a class or just a meal. A few courses this year include: Fencing ($5), Basketweaving ($25), Fantasy Sports Leagues ($5), BBQ Smoking (Brisket) ($12), Beginner Cake Decorating ($10), Painting Party ($10), Artisan Coffee ($5) and more. Free events include a Star Gazing class with Professor Sadler on Friday evening. On Saturday evening we will host trivia starting at 7 p.m. with a ghost hunt with GRAGG (Greater Rockford Apparition & Ghost Group) following at 10 p.m.

Take an International Trip with President Thompson
Join fellow alumni and friends as we travel through Belgium and Northern France from July 7-19, 2017. This trip is being coordinated in partnership with the Travel House of Quincy.

The cost is approximately $4,170 per person which includes airfare, several meals, transportation and trip insurance. Airfare from additional US locations to Atlanta, Ga. can be arranged with early notice. Currently airfare included in the price is from St. Louis to Atlanta and Atlanta to Brussels. 

Deposits are $500 and are due by July 7, 2016. All deposits need to be paid to the Travel House of Quincy by calling (800) 742-0521

Friends of the Arts
The Fine Arts Departments at Culver-Stockton College for decades have been known for their outstanding Art, Music, and Theatre programs. We are seeking individuals to serve on the Friends of the Arts Council to help increase awareness and assist in ways that will continue the heritage of the Fine Arts at Culver-Stockton College. This committee meets at various times throughout the year.  We would like to add individuals to the organization that would be interested in supporting our Fine Arts Programs and helping them grow.

The purpose of the organization is to provide support to the Fine Arts Departments in the following ways:
Student Recruitment, Career Networking, and Support/Service.

2016 C-SC Golf Classic & Athletic Hall of Fame

The 2016 Golf Outing will be held at Spring Lake Country Club in Quincy, Ill. Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet to be held that evening in the Gladys Crown Center at Culver-Stockton College. 

Cellular 'Cenes
June 24, 2016

Cellular ‘Cenes is a short romance told in 5 scenes. Each scene (‘cene) is set in a different street locale within a typical downtown business district in Lee's Summit, Mo. The twist, hence the title, is that the audience has no idea where the next scene is going to be until they receive a text message telling them where to go.

Wine Tour- 2016 (St. Louis & Columbia, Mo.)
June 25, 2016

We are heading to New Haven, Mo. to test out a couple wineries. We have rented a 25 passenger bus for St. Louis and a 10 passenger van for Columbia, Mo. We will pick up in St. Charles and at Westport Plaza in St. Louis. We will pick up at First Christian Church, Bethany Hall in Columbia, Mo. Tour will conclude with dinner.  Cost is $25 a person. 



Dirt Road Addiction Concert/Cardinals Game

7:15 pm Game Time

Join us in supporting C-SC alumnus, Patrick Wilson '14 the lead singer in Dirt Road Addiction as the band plays in Busch Stadium before the Cardinals vs. the Kansas City Royals game. Tickets are $25 for the lower level left field box area near the foul pole. Tickets are very limited so register today!

Culver-Stockton College is hosting a Disciples of Christ Youth Retreat on campus June 16-18, 2016.
Check in begins at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 16.
