APRIL EVENTS

April 1:
Annual Bloomin' Fest & Spring Sip & Stroll from 9am-5pm at the Lampasas Historic Courtyard Square. Featuring live music, over 100 arts and crafts booths, great food, and gardening booths. Spring Sip & Stroll is $20 per person and includes souvenir wine glass, tote bag, and tastings from local wineries. Contact Chamber of Commerce 512-556-5172.

April 5:
"Puzzled" story time at the Lampasas Public Library at 10am. Contact 512-556-3251.

April 8: "Books & Badgers" story time at the Lampasas Public Library at 10:30am. Contact 512-556-3251.

April 8: Lampasas Hillacious Bike Tour at 7am starting at Campbell Park. Routes are 9, 34, 49, and 69 miles. The ride benefits Vision Lampasas projects.
Pick up and fill out an application at the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce, 2015 S. HWY 281, Lampasas, TX. You may also download the application and return completed with your entry fee the to Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce or register on bikereg.com (http://www.bikereg.com/lampasas-hillacious-bike-tour). Please note cash or check only at day of event registration. 

April 10-13: Bake Sale at the Lampasas Public Library all week.  Contact 512-556-3251.

April 10-15: National Library Week. Mystery Monday (Check out a Mystery book and get a free Library memo board). April 11: (Scavenger Hunt) April 12: (Western Wednesday) April 13: (Free Book Day). Contact Library 512-556-3251.

April 11: "How Pinteresting!" Green Cleaning Class at the Lampasas Public Library at 5pm. Contact 512-556-3251.

April 14: All City Offices will be closed in observance of Good Friday. Trash service will run normal schedule.

April 18: "Tee for Two" 2-Lady Golf Scramble 9am-3pm at Hancock Park Golf Course. Contact 512-556-3202.

April 19: "Earth Day" story time at the Lampasas Public Library at 10am. Contact 512-556-3251.

April 19: Cornelia Key Book Club (The Road to Little Dribbling) by Bill Bryson, at the Lampasas Public Library at 11am. Contact 512-556-3251.

April 20: Lampasas Middle School Golf Invitational 3:30-7pm at Hancock Park Golf Course. Contact 512-556-3202.

April 22: A.L. Sanchez 3-Person Golf Scramble 1-6pm at Hancock Park Golf Course. Contact 512-556-3202.

April 27: "Camino" Book Talk with the Author, John Clark III, at the Lampasas Public Library at 11am. Contact 512-556-3251.

April 29: The Lampasas Library is hosting a Volunteer Fair at the library from 10am-2pm. The public is invited to come visit with various local organizations who need volunteers to see if there is a place they can help out. Contact Library 512-556-3251.

April 29: City Wide Garage Sale at the Lampasas Downtown Courtyard Square from 8am-3pm. Contact Andy Berry 512-556-5434.
 2017 City Council Election

The City of Lampasas is holding a General Election on May 6, 2017 for the purpose of electing Mayor and City Council members.

Place 1: (Expired term) Chris Harrison
Place 2: (Expired term) Robert McCauley
Place 6: (Expired term) T.J. Monroe

January 18, 2017: First day for filing application for place on ballot.

February 17, 2017: Deadline to file application for place on ballot. (Must be received by 5pm)

April 24, 2017 - May 2, 2017: Early voting by personal appearance begins at the Elections Administrator's Office, 407 S. Pecan, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday-Friday. Tuesday, April 25 and Tuesday, May 2 early voting by personal appearance will run from 7am until 7pm.

May 6, 2017: Election Day, 7am-7pm at the Elections Administrator's Office, 407 S. Pecan, Lampasas, Texas.

Filing In Person:
Physical address for filing in person is 312 E. Third Street, Lampasas, Texas.

Filing by Mail:
Address to mail applications for place on the ballot (if filing by mail) is City Secretary, 312 E. Third Street, Lampasas, Texas 76550.

Library Online Catalog: Check out the Library online catalog. When you log in, you can access your account,place reserves, and renew materials... all online, from the comfort of your home. Photo-of-the-Month Contest: Enter our photo-of-the-month contest by visiting www.cityoflampasas.com for contest rules and emailing your photo to [email protected] . The City Council will announce the monthly winning photo at the first regular City Council meeting. Winners will receive a City of Lampasas insulated tumbler w/straw and posting of their photo on the web site.

Reminder from Lampasas Public Utilities: Sewer bills are based on the average water usage from December, January, and February. Please remember to notify LPU if you have any leaks during that time.

Can You Be Located In An Emergency? The owner of every house or building within the City is required to have a house number placed there on that is readily visible from the public right-of-way on which the structure fronts or faces. The numbers shall be a minimum of three inches in height and contrast with the background on which they are placed, made of material that will not tarnish, corrode or deteriorate unreasonably. Not only will this assist emergency personnel but the US Postal service as well.
