Tauber solutions:
improving forecast accuracy

The Challenge: To accelerate product usage, Microsoft pays incentives designed to drive partner behavior. Microsoft's transition from on-premises to cloud solutions has increased the incentive landscape complexity, and made it more challenging to accurately measure behaviors and provide timely and accurate accrual. This challenge can lead to large variances between accrual and actual.

The Solution: The 2016 Microsoft Incentives Tauber Team automated the reporting process, allowing Microsoft personnel to focus their efforts on analyzing reports rather than generating them.  They also developed a process tracker to better organize handoffs between 6 different Microsoft groups, and make the current process stage more visible to the overall Microsoft team.
The team anticipates over $310k per year in labor savings, and an additional $35M per year in forecast accuracy improvements.

Rate Lean: Fast

Tauber Executive In Residence Gene Goodson applied data from over 1,000 plant tours to create Rate Lean: Fast. The new workbook describes in detail how to plan a tour, rate an operation, and
envision an ideal lean plant based on concepts of the Toyota Production System.
