A WORD FROM MARCELO

What a fun month it has been already!  We started April off with fast-paced futsal (indoor soccer) at Houston Baptist University with our annual Houston Community Cup of Nations' adult and youth tournaments in partnership with Revival Sport.  This weekend will mark our third annual Easter Egg Hunt, working with partners from Sugar Creek Baptist.  Finally, we will begin developmental league games on Saturday, April 22nd at First Baptist Academy's Warrior Field.

What a blessing to work together to reach out to our Houston community!  Wishing you and your family a glorious Easter!  Jesus is risen and so we go forward in faith, hope, and love.

See you at the fields,

Marcelo Galvao

Executive Director

Welcome,  Coach Alex!

Alex Batista from Brazil has recently joined ANSA as an International Trainee.  Coach Alex has years of coaching experience and is already out on the fields, giving great soccer instruction and encouragement.  Welcome to Team ANSA, Coach Alex!

Welcome, Eric & Ivonne!

Eric and Ivonne DiCesare are coming on board with ANSA to assist with Life Coaching and office administrative tasks, respectively.  Eric comes from a pastoral and missions background and has already been serving ANSA by heading up our field maintenance crew.  Ivonne has experience in marketing and public relations.  We are grateful for their experience and hearts to serve!

U18 ANSA GALACTICOS

Congratulations to the U18s, winners of the Copa Houston ESPN Tournament, on a job well done!  Kudos to Coach Giovanni Tobar and his wife, Sara, for guiding the team to victory and for always being there for these young men.  We look forward to what is to come!

Don't miss our third annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 15th from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at our CBC site, 6025 Sovereign Drive, in Houston.  This is a FREE family event.  Lots of fun for everyone!  And yes, there will be some soccer, too!
  DEVELOPMENTAL GAMES STARTING!

ANSA Developmental League games start Saturday, April 22nd at 10 a.m. at FBA Warrior Field (6711 Long Point, Houston).  Games will be every Saturday through May 20th.  Your site coordinators and coaches will keep you informed.  Any questions?  Contact Coach Raul at raul@ansacademy.org.

HIGHER GOALS

ANSA not only strives to offer high-quality soccer to children and youth, but to provide the opportunity for them to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Last month's Discovery Night featured Pete Manzano with One Accord Ministries and was held at Servants of Christ United Methodist Church (near our Mission Milby site).  The next ANSA Discovery Night will be on Friday, May 12th.  Discovery Nights are free and for all family members (not just players!).  We play interactive group games, share a meal, and learn from God's word.

If you would like to help with Discovery Nights, please click here or contact Eric DiCesare at eric@ansacademy.org.
ANSA has a new theme song by our own Coach Tunde.  Check it out at http://ansacademy.org/ansa-song/
Check out Cosmos Soccer Store online at   https://cosmos-soccer.myshopify.com/ or in person at 13500 W. Airport, Suite B in Sugar Land.  Lots of soccer supplies in store and Coach Herald Zurita will help you out to get what you need!  Thank you, Cosmos Soccer Store, for supporting ANSA!
Need prayer?  We all do, so don't be shy to ask.  ANSA's prayer team works behind the scenes to undergird TEAM ANSA with the strength of the LORD.  If you have a prayer request or praise, please email prayer@ansacademy.org.

Your commitment to ANSA's mission---to transform and empower youth and their families of all nations through soccer---is essential.  Partner with us today to give more kids the opportunity to "get in the game" with ANSA!
