From your Missionary
HE’S ALIVE! The fact that Jesus died on the cross, conquered death, and rose again should cause us to celebrate not just on Easter, but every day of our lives. We can rejoice because we have hope for tomorrow and for eternity. This message of good news should resonate in the way we live our lives as Christians. It should cause us to be passionate about reaching the lost and cause us to realize it’s all about Christ and never about us. We serve a risen Savior and the world needs to see this reality in our lives. May we commit to live our lives fully for Him and focus on what really matters; sharing the good news of the Gospel!

I am very excited that we will begin a new ministry as an Association. I have shared the plans for this ministry with the Executive Committee and I want to share it with our churches. This ministry will be to young women who do not have the resources to provide all they need to properly care for their children. This ministry will involve a boutique that will have children’s clothing, baby food, diapers, etc. Along with the boutique we will be offering classes such as life skills, parenting, computer, Bible, and other classes that will help a young mother to strengthen their abilities. The goal would be for women to be involved in the classes where they will earn baby bucks to use in the boutique to get items for their children. This ministry will also provide a way to share the Gospel and help encourage women to live Godly lives and set an example to their children. We will need all of our churches to support this ministry. We will be using the building next to our HBA office and I am excited that Denise Bauer will be overseeing this ministry. We will be providing more information regarding the needs for this ministry during the next couple of months.

Please be in prayer for the Disciple Now weekend our Association is sponsoring at the end of this month. The information is in this newsletter! I am asking our churches that have youth grades 6-12 to be involved in this exciting weekend. I can’t wait to see how God is going to move in the lives of those who participate!
