ShareBaby provides diapers, clothing and gear to highly effective community organizations working to ensure Baltimore's young children get the best start in life! Please only donate items that are washed, free of stains/rips, and in new or good condition. It is only with your help that we are able to ensure that every item ShareBaby distributes is something that you would give or use with your own children or ones you love. We accept new AND open packs of diapers. Wipes and diaper cream must be new. We have an especially high need for diapers in sizes 4, 5, & 6. Please be sure to review the list of items we do/do not accept before you come.
 
Drop Off Instructions:
  • Pull up to the building loading dock (in the center of the building-near 2 dumpsters and there may be a food truck there)
  • Call 667.212.3455 when you arrive and a ShareBaby team member will come out to assist you
  • Tax receipts are available upon request

Masonville Cove Project Clean Stream
National Aquarium
 
Date/Time: Saturday, April 14, 9:30am - 12:30pm
 
Location: Masonville Cove Environmental Education Center, 1000 Frankfurst Ave., Baltimore

Join your neighbors and community partners to clean up the stream and living shoreline that connect Brooklyn and Curtis Bay to Masonville Cove. Get outside and make a difference in your community while learning about the causes and effects of marine debris and how  you can help! Data collected during this event will contribute to Project Clean Stream.
 
Ages: Volunteers must be at least 10 years old. Volunteers under the age of 18 will need to be supervised by an adult.
 
Time Commitment: Three hours

Help Celebrate Healthy Kids Day
The Y in Central Maryland
 
Date/Time: Saturday, April 21, 8:30am - 1:30pm
 
Location: The Weinberg Y in Waverly, 900 E. 33rd St., Baltimore

Healthy Kids Day is a great opportunity for families to come out for fun games and activities, like a bounce house, obstacle course, face painting, sports stations, make & take healthy snacks, crafts, and more! Y Healthy Kids Day is a free community event. There are a range of volunteer opportunities to support the day including the following:
  • Event setup/breakdown
  • Assist with the climbing wall
  • Distribute t-shirts
  • Help with arts and crafts
  • Monitor the bounce house and obstacle course
  • Help with event registration
Ages: Volunteers must be at least 12 years old
 
Time Commitment: Four to five hours

Stone Soup Families Living United Volunteer
United Way of Central Maryland
 
Date/Time: Saturday, April 21, 3 - 5pm
 
Location: Our Daily Bread, 725 Fallsway, Baltimore

Together we can work to end hunger in Baltimore City. Bring your whole family and join us to assemble meals for people in need. Inspired by the children's story, Stone Soup, we ask each family member participating to bring an item for our grocery list. Once you have registered, we will send you a follow-up email indicating which ingredients your family should provide.

Ages: Families with children of all ages are welcome to participate

Community Garden Volunteer
Park Heights Community Health Alliance, Inc. (PHCHA)

Location: 4151 Park Heights Ave., Baltimore

Park Heights Community Alliance grows several thousand pounds of food for the residents of Park Heights in West Baltimore. It's spring and we'll be doing some preparations for the growing season. Join us for this volunteer event. There will be tasks and activities for all skill levels and ages. Wear layers of clothing and sturdy shoes (boots or sneakers that you don't mind getting dirty). We will meet at our main site listed above, but we may deploy to our other sites for more plantings.

April Lunch Patrol - Baltimore Rescue Mission
B & Dee's Baltimore Love
 
Date/Time: Sunday, April 29, starting at noon
 
Location: Carroll Park, 1500 Washington Blvd., Baltimore

Lunch Patrol is a monthly brown bag lunch distribution for those in need throughout Baltimore City. Get your family together to pre-make brown bag lunches -- sandwich, drink, snack, and dessert. The bagged lunches will be delivered by volunteers on foot and by vehicle to those in need throughout Baltimore City. Volunteers can help by packing and/or delivering lunches.
 
Ages: Families with children of all ages are welcome to volunteer.
 
Time Commitment: Flexible. Stay for as long or as short as you'd like

Art with a Heart Office Volunteers
Art with a Heart
 
Date/Time: Ongoing and flexible
 
Location: 3000 Falls Rd., Mill No. 1, Baltimore

Art with a Heart's mission is to enhance the lives of people in need through visual art. With over 11,000 classes a year and many community-wide initiatives, there are numerous fun and engaging volunteer opportunities with our organization. Volunteers are always needed in-house at the Art with a Heart office to help:
  • Gather and pack supplies in preparation for classes and community projects
  • Create sample art projects and steps for instruction
  • Assist in weekly inventory and organization of supply rooms
  • Create artful decorations for individuals and community partnership events
  • Break and organize tile for large-scale mosaics
There are also opportunities to assist in Art with a Heart classes that can work for almost any consistent schedule as well as occasional, one-time community service events in the evenings and on the weekends.
