There is always a lot going on in the arts at Rutgers-Camden, and this spring the Music and Theater Programs are collaborating on the most elaborate production ever to grace the stage of the Walter K. Gordon Theater: The Fairy Queen, a fully-staged production of Henry Purcell's musical adaptation of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The production features sumptuous settings, elegant and outrageous period costumes, actors, dancers, a singing chorus, guest soloists, and a full Baroque orchestra. Scenes from the play are punctuated by extravagant musical interludes by the great English composer
Over 40 student and professional performers make this a unique, not-to-be missed spectacle! Musical supervision is by Distinguished Professor of Music Dr. Julianne Baird and the production is directed by Associate Professor of Theater, award-winning Dr. Kenneth Elliott.
