Food for Fines
April 9-14, All Ages

During "National Library Week," those with fines on their library cards will have them waived in exchange for non-perishable food in cans or boxes.

We'll also accept unopened toilet paper, toiletries, or laundry detergent (which food stamps don't cover).  Baby care items are also welcome.

These essentials will help stock the Hancock County Food Pantry.
Loving Vincent: Movie ScreeningFeatured

Watch a screening of Loving Vincent, an animated biographical film about the life of painter Vincent van Gogh; and in particular, the circumstances of his death.

Each of the film's 65,000 frames is an oil painting on canvas, using Van Gogh's colors and techniques. A stunning endeavor, Loving Vincent won "Best Animated Feature Film" at the European Film Awards and was nominated for "Best Animated Feature" at the 90th Academy Awards.

This free screening is co-sponsored by the Hancock County Arts Council.

Harpist Jan Aldridge Clark performs with percussionist Michael Beck. Hear a blend of jazz, bossa nova, and pop.

Aldridge's early experiences with strings include extensive classical training with world-renowned harp virtuoso Susann McDonald and former NBC Radio Orchestra harpist Peter Eagle.
