April 21, 2017 would have been Iliff professor, pastor, theologian and friend Harvey H. Poffhoff’s 106th birthday. Celebrate Dean Albert Hernandez's leadership as Senior Vice President and Dean of the Faculty  
Please save the date for a celebration in Honor of Dr.  Albert Hernández's Leadership. It will take place on May 18, at 4pm in Shattuck Hall - Iliff School of Theology. Wine and appetizers will be served.

In July, Dr. Hernández will return to full-time teaching at Iliff.

of a landmark American  sermon
On April 4, 2017, the silence was broken again when Iliff commemorated the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's  Beyond Vietnam sermon, penned by Dr. Vincent Harding. We hosted simultaneous celebrations at the historic Riverside Church in New York and at Iliff, in collaboration with the Veterans of Hope Project, Riverside Church and Union Theological Seminary.

The service at Riverside included music from Toshi Reagon, readings from the sermon, and conversations between Michele Alexander and Ruby Sales. This was live streamed to Shattuck Hall at Iliff. As you can see from the photos below, both the Riverside and Iliff venues were full.

After the New York service, the large gathering in Shattuck Hall stayed for a lively panel discussion led by Drs. Edward Antonio, Naomi Harris and Dana Wilbanks.

Dotty Creager
We give thanks for the life of the Reverend Dotty Creager, age 80, who died on Friday, March 24, 2017. She was born on March 19, 1937 in Pueblo, Colorado to Everett and Evelyn (Howard) Samuelson.
