Wine Bottle Cheese Board

Recycled Wine Bottle Cheese Tray

with Joyce Sullivan

$30 includes supplies (on sale for $17)

**No Previous Experience Necessary**

BYOB for Wine Bottle Class

This is an ultimate recycling project!  Talented instructors lead this fun workshop as you learn how to transform empty wine bottles into decorative hors d'oeuvre or cheese trays.

Each participant needs to bring one regular (not sentimental value) wine bottle.  It must clean and dry, inside and outside and have the label and glue removed.

We will demo and explain how to flatten wine bottles in the kiln. Since it takes 19 hours to squish a wine bottle, we'll exchange your bottle with a similar bottle that is already flat.

To remove the label, soak your bottle for thirty minutes in very hot, soapy water. If the label doesn't slip right off, you can use a razor blade scraper to remove it. If the adhesive doesn't come off easily, you can use Goo Gone to get it off.

After you've learned the technique, you can bring more wine bottles to Harmony for squishing.  Kiln fees are as low as $12 for one bottle up to $60 for ten bottles.

 Skill Share Day at Harmony!

with our staff & friends

Saturday, June 20

from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

WHAT'S A SKILL SHARE?
It's an opportunity to learn from people who have great skills in a variety of techniques but aren't professional teachers.

It's an opportunity to share a skill with your

peers and they don't expect you to be

a perfectionist because you're not a professional teacher.

Harmony is planning a SKILL SHARE event on Saturday, June 20.

We'll start at 10am and schedule classes every 90 minutes throughout the day.

We're also planning a POT LUCK LUNCHEON!

If you want to TEACH, we want to hear from you NOW!   Call Joyce to talk about what skill you want to share.  It might be that you just want to share some tips or teach a basic class like how to make a mosaic night light.  You could also volunteer to lead a discussion on a topic of your choice.

If you want to participate as a learner, stay tuned. When we get the teaching lined up, you'll hear from us so that you can register.

Call Joyce at  and mention SKILL SHARE.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
