Natalie Burdick, Outreach Director

About Natalie Burdick

Natalie Burdick directs Walk SF's membership, volunteer, community events, communication and outreach programs. She partners with community members, nonprofit groups, and agency and elected staff, to build awareness and support for pedestrian safety, including advancing Walk SF's Vision Zero effort, a campaign to end all traffic-related deaths in 10 years. Natalie joined Walk SF in 2012 after five years in marketing and development at Santa Monica's Heal the Bay, where she grew the environmental nonprofit's social media, third party events, and managed direct marketing programs for the 10,000 member organization. Prior to her water-quality advocacy experience, she spent 15 years in executive marketing, product marketing, and project management roles in customer relationship management (CRM) and open source start-ups in the software industry. Ms. Burdick has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California Los Angeles.

About Walk San Francisco

Since 1998, Walk SF has been the city's only pedestrian advocacy organization fighting for more than 837,000 residents, 162,000 weekday commuters, and 16.5 million visitors annually, who walk in San Francisco. Through smart, targeted advocacy, Walk SF and its members, are improving city streets and neighborhoods and making San Francisco a more livable, walkable city by reclaiming streets as safe, shared public space for everyone to enjoy. Walk SF's mission: Make walking in San Francisco safer for everyone, so our community is healthier and more livable.

2nd Annual Interfaith Ride

Sunday, May 22 from 1 pm - 3 pm
Location TBD

Celebrate the environment, the community and general health by joining likeminded citizens of different faiths to tour our beautiful city by bicycle! Last year we had over 40 riders and visited eight congregations (view the photos here). The Interfaith Ride welcomes people who bike from your congregation to ride together, visiting different faith communities around San Francisco, and ending in Golden Gate Park for a closing celebration. We will visit a variety of historic and architecturally interesting sites, hear from leaders and members, and enjoy a fun and freewheeling "bicycle liturgy" along the way. Free RSVP here.
