Summer 2015 is Heating Up!

We have approximately 60 jobs to complete in Cleveland this Summer! We still have room for summer mission teams, and we would LOVE to have you!
Drip, Drip, Drip
A long and brutal winter has wreaked havoc on the mission roof with many severe leaks in our sanctuary and in the Twice Blessed Free Store. It is apparent that we must replace our roof. While the North Coast District UMC  will be helping us by funding the repair, there will be many interior repairs necessary due to the extent of the interior damage. This unexpected expense will put a strain on our budget.  Special contributions to help with these costs would be appreciated. Please indicate your designated gift with a memo; "water damage".
Full Bathroom Remodels!
Both to be ready for Summer 2015 arrivals.

Early in March we began the tear down of old stalls, showers, and floors of our Men's bathroom to put in a new floor, showers, and stalls. With thanks to volunteer; Dave Trout for his hard work tiling, plumbing and reconstructing both the  men's  & ladies bathrooms we will have both bathrooms in new and  working order for Summer 2015!

Twice Blessed

Twice Blessed Free Store, a ministry of Rocky River UMC, opened on  January 10 , serving 14 households. Now in March of 2015, the store has experienced quick growth.
Mary Jo Mitchell, free store coordinator says of the experience,
"Three months later, we served 73 households shopping for over 280 individuals. We expect the numbe r of shoppers to increase as word about our services continues to spread."
Twice Blessed is accepting donations for spring and summer clothing, household items, and toiletries.  "We have an urgent need for men's clothing and shoes, towels, and small appliances." said Mitchell.   Donations can be dropped off at the mission Monday through Friday between 9:30am and 4pm or directly to the store   Monday  10:00am -1:00pm  or  Thursdays  1:00pm  -4:00pm.
Visit the Twice Blessed  website to see a full listing of  donation items and upcoming volunteering opportunities. If you are interested in volunteer ing you can apply through the website or email [email protected]
