April/May 2017
Presidents Message

April has blown by with so much on the go!  Thanks so much to all the members who came out last week to the AGM.  In total we had 40 members attend and more than 10 new people raise their hand to volunteer on committees and join council.  Great participation and a lot of fantastic dialog.

There are plans for several events this coming year and we have a number of different committees just getting underway.  If you were unable to join us a the AGM and would like the opportunity to get involved we would love to have you participate.  Contact the office and we will find a spot where your time will be appreciated.

For those members who are also AAA members, mark your calendars for their AGM in Edmonton on May 9.  It’s important to show them our interior design community is engaged and interested in moving the profession forward, so please plan to attend if you can make it happen.  Here’s to a warmer month ahead!

River City Tile Company Presents: Porcelain vs Natural Stone
Nailing a tile scope design for a client is hard enough, but navigating the technical side of tile specs can be like learning a whole new language. Can marble be used in a steam shower? Is porcelain really more durable than natural stone? What sealer should I use? Is all porcelain created equal?

Let us help you wade through the sea of misinformation and come out a valuable resource for your clients. You'll come away with a handy reference guide to help you remember what you've learned.

We'll be joined by the fabulous Danika Riedel of Danika Eats Tea for some tea-infused Rig Hand Distillery signature cocktails and tea-licious snacks.

Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM MTD
