April 2017

As we enter into Spring, we hope it will warm up so we can start to see new growth around us.  As teachers and parents we don't often take the time to "stop and smell the roses." With that being said, have you looked closely at your children lately?  The have grown so much since entering our doors last September.  Their pants and sleeves maybe a little shorter and they may be complaining their shoes are too tight.  The growth, however that is not evident at first glance is their academic growth.  They have learned so many things this year like colors, patterns and shapes, letters and sounds, addition and subtraction, new prayers and that God made them special.

Our preschoolers are so proud when they finally say, "I'm a zipperer"!  It's the little things in life that mean so much to them at this stage in their lives.  Enjoy them, they grow up fast.

Thank you to those that participated in the Savory Foods fundraiser.  We really appreciate your participation.  The money raised will be used to buy new equipment for the school.

Here is a short Easter prayer you can pray with your child:

Easter Prayer
God made you and God made me,
He made the world for us to see.
God loves you and long ago,
He sent his son to tell us so.

Jesus showed us many things,
To love and share and dance and sing.
To learn and pray, to help and care,
He promised he'd always be there.

He die but then came back to life,
Let's celebrate for he's alive.

Amen

God Bless,

Kindergarten Kapers

Spring is in the air and Kindergarten is making great strides in their learning! We have enjoyed reading aloud during our Royal Readers time and have learned many sight words. Their addition skills are greatly improving. In April, we will learn how to subtract and measure. We are excited to begin our Dinosaur unit in Social Studies.
PreKindergarten Press

As this month begins, we hope we will be able to enjoy the warmer weather and many beautiful Spring days. We will be working on our last letter of the alphabet, Z, as well as the Number 15. We will celebrate that Jesus has risen. "For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16.  We will be doing many Easter activities and projects.  Happy Spring everyone!
Preschool Pitter Patter

March kept us busy learning about air, bugs, St. Patrick, birds, trees, feelings, the color green, the rectangle shape, the number 7 and the letters "Bb" and "Pp".  We also had a fun visit with Mother Goose. We are busy bees!  April brings us to studying the Easter Story, the color black, number 8, the oval shape and the letters "Ll" and "Tt". The children are getting better using scissors. Please keep practicing at home.  Have a Fun Spring Break! Easter Blessings to all!
