6th INTERNATIONAL ENCAUSTIC CONFERENCE
Once again I will be traveling to beautiful Cape Cod to participate in International Encaustic Conference, as well as taking a few workshops at the Truro Center for the Arts. All these to keep growing as a professional artist.

Greetings!
Spring has arrived around here! As we started seeing blooming colors all around, I'm getting ready to future shows, submitting materials to juried exhibitions, while keeping up with my regular classes at the studio.
My Encaustic workshops and classes are picking up, and people are already enjoying of the versatility of this "new" old media. You can read about my first workshops and view images here. There are a few spots left on my Monday classes, and I'm offering workshops in May and July (details below). NEW at my studio! ART JOURNALING classes... Feeling stressed or overwhelmed? Going through difficult times or recovering from a trauma? It's time to unwind and take some ME time!!! Connect with your creative side, while exploring different mediums in a fun and enriching environment. You'll be creating an Altered Book that will help you find healing through art... No art experience needed. Open to all! Just let me know if interested to save you a spot!

| BANG THE DRUM, an OIL DRUM ART EXHIBITION

I'm currently working on my third art piece using an oil drum as canvas, to bring to this especial exhibition.

PAPER + WAX with Michelle Belto

 We have all ready to go, just waiting for Texas artist, Michelle Belto to arrive to my studio to teach her wonderful 3-days PAPER + WAX Workshop.
There are only a few spots left, so contact me ASAP, as materials for the workshop get shipped from Texas at the beginning of the month, and after materials are shipped registration will be closed. So hurry up if interested. Don't miss this unique opportunity!
Course Objectives:
Wax + Paper Workshop will present the student an overview of basic paper making techniques and the application of encaustic on handmade paper supports. Students will see demonstrations in paper and encaustic technique and have ample time for guided exploration on their own with the ability to create several completed works and be able to take home paper supports for work in their own studios.
Cost & Payment:
The cost of the workshop is $385.00 (Materials Fee included)

VERSATILITY IN WAX: Introduction to Encaustic Painting. ONE-DAY ENCAUSTIC INTENSIVE
Saturday, May 19th, 2012, 10am to 5pm
Learn about the artistic possibilities of this versatile medium in this intensive workshop. The day begins with a brief history of encaustic painting, a safety review, and a demonstration of preparation and application of the paint. Then, students will work on their own projects with individual instruction as needed. This workshop is open to all levels. All tools and collage material will be provided.
