Each year, the Board of Education Fellowship proudly offers First Congregational Church of Winter Park (FCCWP) a day of educational workshops. These LEARN workshops continue our celebration of the United Church of Christ’s love of education, FCCWP’s embrace of community, and our own personal commitments to the health and well-being of our congregation. Think of Saturday, April 7, 2018 as a day to celebrate the joy of learning!

  A big shout out to all of the Keepers that dug deep and made the 2018 Camp Boggy Creek Service Retreat a huge success!  Over the past month of preparation and planning time prior to the weekend, and Saturday and Sunday the weekend of March 17th, we had 17 “Warriors” who went all in to make this service retreat a reality.

FREE "SACRED HABITS" WORKSHOP WITH REV. CHAD ABBOTT
Lay leaders and clergy are invited to join us May 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for "Sacred Habits," a free workshop with Rev. Chad Abbott at the Florida Church House, 9300 University Blvd., Orlando, FL 32817. Chad will speak on topics raised in his latest book, Sacred Habits: The Rise of the Creative Clergy .

OUR APPLICATION FOR HISTORIC GRANT GATHERS SUPPORT!

Orange County District 5 commissioner Emily Bonilla has provided a letter of endorsement for our application for a Special Category Grant from the State of Florida historic preservation office. Commissioner Bonilla saying " Thank you for reaching out to me to have the opportunity to support a historical renovation project.   " joins the mayor of Winter Park, Mr Steve Leary, the City Architect, Mr Brooks Weiss, the City Historic Preservation Board, and the President of Rollins College, Mr Grant Cornwell endorsing our application

As described in the congregational meeting in January, our application for a grant for restoration of certain external features of our building is being prepared by a consultant for submission by June 1st to the evaluation board at the State.
