Spring has sprung, though winter seems to be dragging right on through. May flowers better be on their way or Mother Nature will pay!
March was a busy month of coaching here at Art & Soul Acting...and acting, too. I was thrilled that my solo show, Rhonda Badonda: The Adventures of a Girl with a Pain in Her Brain, was a part of Women's History Month at the Bernie Wohl Center on the Upper West Side. The following week I brought Rhonda Badonda to the campus of SUNY Purchase and have already begun booking the show into 2019.
On March 25 I took part once again in the chalk memorial honoring the, mostly, girls and women who died 107 years ago in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. This year I chalked for Mary Herman who, incidentally, lived right next door to my first apartment in NYC.
To take part in or to learn more about this simple but powerful memorial project, please visit Street Pictures.
And later that evening, I watched my dear friend Abbie Killeen open off-Broadway in her dream project, Babette's Feast. The show is, indeed, a feast for the soul. Go see it! Babette's Feast - Tickets use code BFFNF for $49.50 tix.
And finally, change is afoot here at Art & Soul Acting. Somewhere deep in the cyber of cyberspace lives my brand new website. I am beyond excited to have gotten started! My plotting, planning, dreaming and scheming is fully under way and I plan to launch the new site on June 1. Stay tuned!
In the meantime, if you'd like to dive into your work with some private acting coaching, I've got you covered! (See more below.)
Wishing you a month of joy beyond measure!
