Hands-on with the Fujifilm X-T1I ordered a Fujifilm X-T1 camera and several lenses in February. I used this small, mirrorless camera exclusively while traveling to Seattle and Las Vegas. This camera is the first mirrorless system I used where I didn't feel like I was making a serious compromise with my DSLR. The camera and three zooms (10-24mm 18-55mm and 55-200mm) weighs less than 5 lbs and can be easily carried in a shoulder bag or belt pack. The image quality of the 16MP APS-C sensor is nothing short of fantastic, and the available lenses are extremely sharp and well-built. Read more of my thoughts on this camera in the blog: |

Digital Underground: Las Vegas workshop reportThe first "Digital Underground" workshop was a blast! Deborah Sandidge and I had a great time with ten fabulous photographers as we explored the Las Vegas area. We got some amazing photographs from both iconic and little-known locations, and we tried new techniques including long exposures and cinemagraphs. See more images and read the full report here. Deborah and I are currently working on adding more Digital Underground workshops for later this summer and fall. For immediate notification, check out the Luminescence of Nature Workshops page. |

Product Review: Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 30iI purchased this small bag to hold my Fujifilm X-T1 camera on short trips. It's small, light, and holds an iPad, too. It has a slightly different zipper designed to open outward from your body so that the flap isn't in the way when you're using the bag. Order this bag or any other Think Tank Photo product $50 or more, and receive bonus items. |
