On April 18th, the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Sabres Foundation awarded $5,000 to Compeer of Greater Buffalo.

Compeer Begins New Fundraising Initiative
Thanks to a generous scholarship from the East Hill Foundation, seven members of the Compeer organization traveled to Maryland earlier this month to complete the Benevon 101 Workshop in Baltimore.
The team, comprised of Executive Director Michele Brown, Board of Directors Chair John McKeone, Board Member Karen Butler, Volunteer Robyn Meyer, Director of Families' Child Advocacy Network Vicki McCarthy, Director of Compeer for Kids Karen Bartkowiak, and Social Marketing Project Coordinator Heather McCarthy, spent two days in an intensive, hands on training in the Benevon model for sustainable funding.
