Fort Worth AGD is reinvigorated with a new, well-received event just held: its first-ever annual symposium and social. The “
Celebrating Excellence in Fort Worth and the Next Level General Dentist Practice
” event featured several speakers on different topics, which helped attendees earn 7 CE hours…and at the end, the celebration part: the party moved to Top Golf, for not only honing golf swings but also relationships with their peers.
Speakers included Fort Worth area colleagues: Dr. Mike Abernathy, Dr. Chad Duplantis, Dr. Chad Perry, Dr. Nathan Ho, Dr. Glenn Vo & Dr. Shelby Nelson. Topics ranged from practice management, evolution of digital dentistry, newer aesthetic dentistry concepts, and modern periodontology to using social media to engage patients, vendors, and your team. Among other special guests were Francine Johannesen, Texas AGD’s executive director and Dr. Bryan Moore, Texas AGD Board member and chair of the Lone Star Dental Conference.
Partnering with Tarrant County College as the host site, and with the help of the Texas AGD team, the team attracted over 100 attendees, including 12 sponsors, with just 8 weeks of advertising and marketing the event. They are already in the very early stages of picking dates and planning for next year’s symposium, and for CE dinner meetings for the rest of this year.
The Fort Worth AGD looks forward to achieving its goal this year of providing various platforms to help its constituency succeed.
