Call for Art!
The deadline for our upcoming exhibit, Vessel is this month.
On Friday, April 13, all entries are due.
Vessels hold, contain, and protect. They have myriads of purposes and can elicit countless meanings The transportation of blood, holding the morning coffee, transporting goods across the ocean, or carrying an unborn child, all point back to the same theme.

Summer Art Camp
T he Summer Art Camp schedule has been released and classes are already filling up quickly! We offer classes for 4 to 6 year olds, 1st through 3rd graders, 4th through 6th graders, and teens
(Middle School and up). Online registration is NOT up and running quite yet.

Glass Paperweight Experience

Who: P R I D E Los Alamos
What: Village Arts is sponsoring a $50 Prize to the winner of the best PRIDE logo. We’re looking for a 300 ppi logo, no smaller than 5” x 7” to be used on all promotional materials for Los Alamos PRIDE week.
Why: Los Alamos is about to have its very first PRIDE week June 11th-17th 2018! Preparations are underway, and we need YOUR help to create a logo that represents our unique brand of PRIDE in Los Alamos for this year’s celebration! PRIDE week is traditionally a time to celebrate the LGTBQ+ community through educational and social opportunities.

Poem in Your Pocket Day
Make an Origami Heart
April 26 is "Poem in Your Pocket Day", part of National Poetry Month.

Three of our fabulous art instructors have come together to offer their services to provide fun art instruction for birthday parties. Dee Homans, Ellen Mancini, and Susanne Harrison each offer very different projects and activities.

Currently on Display
If you haven't stopped in to see the Spirit Lines exhibit, now is the time! Spirit Lines in the main gallery and Compassionate Touch Network's show PhotoVoice-Untold Minds in the Portal Gallery, will both be on display through May 5.
Both exhibits are gorgeous and emotionally moving. Don't miss them!
Off the Hill Art
There are a couple of excellent shows happening in Santa Fe and Espanola featuring the work of artists who have shown at the Art Center. These are definitely worth checking out!
Santa Fe artist, Deco will be on display at the Northern New Mexico Regional Arts Center at the Convento in the Espanola Plaza. The reception will be Friday, April 6 from 5pm - 7pm and the show will run through April 30.
