Thank You for Joining Us for LEAD 2017

Anyone who attended Legislative Education and Advocacy Day on April 18th will tell you how incredibly inspiring it is to see hundreds of social work students and professionals gathered on the steps of the Capitol Rotunda celebrating the social work profession.
We were privileged to have six members of the General Assembly speak at our rally: Rep. Nick Miccarelli (R-Delaware), Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne), Rep. Leanne Krueger-Braneky (D-Delaware), Rep. Gerald Mullery (D-Luzerne), Rep. Tom Murt (R-Montgomery, Philadelphia), and Sen. John Blake (D-Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe).
To make the day even more special, we were able to witness the passage of SB 530 though the Senate Consumer Protection & Professional Licensure Committee.
Together, we can get either HB 445 or SB 530 passed this session! Stay tuned!
Thank you to all who made this day great!
Check out the photos from the event here (tag yourself and share with your friends).

When I asked why, she told me that criticizing daycare and advocating for women to stay with their children as long as possible before they turn 3, which I do in my new book, was anti-feminist.
