April Is National Child Abuse Prevention Month
Be a Caped Crusader for our Kids
In order to accomplish our mission to eradicate child abuse from our community, we need everyone who lives and works in our community to participate in this effort. Our staff will share information on how abuse negatively affects a child's development and our community's growth. We can educate you on preventing child abuse and on how to intervene once you discover that child abuse has happened to someone you know.

Our team would enjoy speaking with you or your organization about who we are and why the work we do is so important. We can also discuss ways on how you can help us through individual donations, event sponsorship, volunteer activities, and workplace giving.

We always appreciate the opportunity to develop new partnerships with individuals, families, and civic or faith-based organizations too. Call us today to schedule a time to meet with us.

Volunteer

Interested in volunteering at fund raising events or participating in a work day? We will set it up for you. We can also give ideas on other things you can do to make a difference in the life of a child: like getting together with your neighbors, your friends at work, or your work-out buddies to do one of the following:

  • Take a look at our wish list and help us to secure some items on it.

  • Host a "bucket brigade" party and collect cleaning products for our families

  • Become a "Secret Santa" and gather up holiday gifts or food baskets

Tuesday, April 21st
Harborside East
6:30-9:30pm

Advanced Sommelier's Patrick Emerson and Brad Ball will be returning for a rematch from last year's knuckle biting competition of wines.  Both will be grappling for the satisfaction and agreement of your taste buds. Who will be center stage for the victory dance?  Will Brad retain his title or will Patrick emerge as this year's winner of the crown? You will be the judge.

While providing a delicious meal and the opportunity to try several different wines and a specialty cocktail from The Firefly Distillery, our event also satisfies the itch for competition and heckling.  Everyone will receive a list of the wines served  and  the end of the evening and you will have the opportunity to place an order to purchase your favorite wine(s) of the evening.
