Ancient Worship ~ Open Minds ~ Come Inside ~ Make a Difference

God of new creation, from the womb of earth you raised the Lord of life: may we receive the word of women who braved the soldier's spears and met him in the dawning light; may we live with morning joy that love will never die, through Jesus Christ, the resurrection and the life. Amen.

Guild Hall Players presents another regional premiere: 33 VARIATIONS by Moises Kaufman April 20-23. This innovative inspiring Broadway hit tells two parallel stories: Beethoven struggles to finish his final musical masterpieces while a contemporary music scholar struggles to solve the mystery of what inspired the great composer to his finest achievements.  Directed by Deb Campbell, the play features a live performance of Beethoven's masterwork.  The play is a "deeply moving" (LA Times) opportunity for both music and theatre lovers.  Thurs April 20-Sat April 22 8 pm  Sun April 23 7 pm   Reservations at 683-5686.

The Resurrection
by Janet McKenzie

Word for the Week ~ Resurrection

Our memory fails us if we think of Jesus' resurrection only in terms of "then" and not also in terms of "now." We are not reenacting Jesus' resurrection; we are reappropriating Jesus' resurrection power.
