____________________________________________________________ Our Members in the News
The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works has presented the 2012 Special Recognition Award for Allied Professionals to AHC Member, Charles Rhyne "for his invaluable contributions to art conservation". Professor Rhyne is Professor Emeritus, Art History, at Reed College, where he has been teaching since 1960. Learn more here.
Last month Greg Olson of Olson & Jones Construction went "Over the Edge" during a fundraiser for the Boy Scouts of America, rappelling nearly 500 feet down all 36 stories of the Bancorp Tower and raising $2,500! Greg has always admired the way the Boy Scouts program prepares young
people for adult life. Having assisted in an Eagle project last year, Greg was inspired to do more for scouting.
"It was cool, fun and exciting. I looked down right at the top while I was waiting for another climber to get over the edge and many times on the way down!"
If you are an active member or business member of the AHC, we want to hear about it when you win a preservation related award, have your work honored in an exhibit, have your restored home featured in a magazine.Click here to learn how to share your news with us.
